the longest day ever

Today is the day we all have been waiting for, and as the alarm clock went of around 3 am in the morning it was still quite hard to imagine that it was true enough. But as planned we drove with both a bus and trains to the airport. As if that trip with all the waiting an switching wasn't enough we had some time in the airport and a 8 hour long flight ahead of us.

Waiting in Kastrup airport

The flight went very well but as known the American airports are extremely strict - and we surely felt that.

After long queues and a large amount of questions we finally got our luggage and went out to catch the bus from the airport to New York City. And of course we ended up in the worst traffic jam and ended up driving very, very slowly for several hours, which under normal circumstances would take around 15 minutes -.-

New York seen from the bus

But as we got to the center of New York all of the bad experiences were forgotten as everyone was totally mesmerized with the city full of life and lots of lights. To see the city, which you have seen in tons of movies was so surrealistic!

We checked in at Equity Point at Times Square and were after a quick dinner at McDonalds more than ready to go to sleep. We have, after all, been awake for more than 24 hours and we're already half asleep.
