so little time - so much to do...

Today we've been to the Statue of Liberty, which is an icon of freedom and a symbol of the American Dream. She was actually a gift from France in recognition of the friendship established during the American Revolution, and over the years the symbolism has grown to include freedom, liberty, and democracy as well as this international friendship.

After the Statue of Liberty, we went to Ellis Island, which is the place where the immigration was registered from 1840, where the immigration was at its highest.

Later on we went to Ground Zero, which was very memorable. They had made two square pools with water falling down, which is a symbol of the emptiness and sorrow in the people's hearts that will never be filled after 9/11.

We ended the day with shopping on Fifth Avenue, which is one of the most famous streets in New York, and then we ate a fabulous meal at Friday's.

With filled stomachs and empty pockets, we will go to sleep with a smile on our faces!
