4 days to go!
We are crossing the atlantic - for some (Michelle and Emma) it's the first time and for others (Sabrina) it's the second time.
We are so exited - we are first going with our class to New York - the big apple - for five days, and then we are of to Washington DC for six days. All the sights we are going to see. Uhh, it is going to be nice!
The big and grand Statue of Liberty, The Harlem, Ground Zero, The National Museum of the American Indian, where we are going to make a presentation - a kind of an appetizer. Dainty! And a whole lot of other things.
We are expecting a lot of fun, but we are also expecting to see many different cultures and experience the differences in the country, but also the diffenrences between the US and Denmark. The past month we have been preparing for the trip by learning about the multicultural identities in the US and we are now more than ready to go! We are expecting that especially New York will give us a great impression of the different multicultural identities, especially with a focus on how the huge amount of hispanic people has integrated since we are travelling with both English and Spanish.
We have been looking forward to this trip for several years and it's hard to believe that we are finally so close. The exitement of the trip is easily shown in the class where it's quite hard to focus on other things;-)
